Alright - so it’s been a little while… Now that I’ve brought the funk..  I suppose I may as well do the blog.

The SmartSound job finally started a couple weeks ago, and it’s been good.  Unfortunately, I’m only part time - 30 hrs a week - but the upside is I’m still making more $$ than I did at fulltime (and extensive travel) with Stiletto.

What this means to me now is that I can start a band again!  I’ve made some headway, and intend on a Soul/Funk/Blues sort of situation.  I am planning a variety of audition jam next Sunday and I may wind up with a corps of bass players to choose from, which will be damn cool and almost unheard of.  Strangely, I haven’t really found a guitarist who’s interested.  A lot of singers seem to be down with the idea too…

At this stage, the instrumentation will look about like this:

Vocals

Horns (Section most likely)

Organ/Synths

Guitar (assuming I find a good one)

Bass

Drums - which will be played by me.

Percussion

I’m very hopeful right now, plus everything else seems to be working out reasonably well.
