Here’s a decent example of audio restoration work that I can do even on the laptop far away from my home studio.  The audio is from a local TV show in Portland, Oregon called Ramblin’ Rod recorded from the TV in (I believe) around 1988.

My brother & I were on the program as audience members - in fact, my brother embarrassingly sings Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer at one point (though generously, I have left that off this recording).

So what you’re hearing here is pretty obvious - but it’s 10 seconds off and on of the original vs. the restored/cleaned-up audio for a total of just over a minute.  I am tempted to post a video of this at some point as well, simply because the effectiveness is a lot more meaningful that way.  Bad audio can really destroy the quality of your media-viewing experience and most people don’t really think about it all that consciously.
